ABCmouse Mastering Math is an educational app that teaches your child the numbers 1 to 20. It’s not math per se, but knowing what numbers represent is fundamental to mastering math.

Counting - The app contains plenty of game modes but they seem to be randomly assigned. A few of these game modes include counting. In these games, your child will need tap on the objects as they count up to the number displayed.

Numbers - There are many games where your child’s ability to recognize numbers will be put to the test. One such game is called Shapey-Tag. In this game, your child will be asked to search for and tag, by tapping on them, the numbers the scout master wants.

Number Order - Another popular series of mini-games in this app will test your child’s ability to arrange numbers based on their ascending or descending value. Your child may even be asked to count forward and backward through these games.

Less Educational Aspects


Motivation - Your child will get a small number of tickets depending on how well they do. Tickets can then be exchanged on the ABCmouse main interface on the web browser for fun prizes or fishes to add to the classroom aquarium.

Fine Motor Skill - In the game with the scoutmaster, your child’s fine motor skills will also be tested mainly because the numbers your child needs to tap on will be moving about on the screen. They will be able to hone their ability to track moving objects and to tap on them accurately.
