Spelling -Your child’s spelling skills will be tested via different methods (a.k.a. game modes) ranging from “guided spelling” and “fill in the blanks” to straight-up “blank spelling”.

Phonics -ABC Spelling emphasizes on the phonics of both the alphabets and the words. Each letter of the alphabet, when the word is spelt, is properly pronounced. The word is also repeated a few times to reinforce the learning process.

Vocabulary -Although the words in ABC Spelling are pretty simple, if your child encounter any new ones as they play, they will indirectly learn about the meaning of these new words by referring to the pictures provided. The words will then be added to their growing vocabulary.

Less Educational Aspects


Motivation -The main character in the game, a lion, will say encouraging phrases like “I believe in you” and “You can do it” whenever your child doesn’t know what to do and leaves the game idle.

Not to mention, stickers are rewarded randomly, provided that your child managed to spell a word correctly. The stickers cannot be played with in any way but serve mainly as a collection for your child to complete. This will help keep your child motivated to play the game repeatedly, further reinforcing the words they have learned.
